Madang School Neighbours Visit

Our Neighbourhood Primary School Madang came to visit us.

We are glad to welcome classes to visit and join us, and learn together !

Harvest Table on the Green

It's time to get picky ! The fruits (and vegetables) of our labours are ripe for the seasonal picking. Tastey meals are never far behind when the baskets roll in with harvest.

What's Cookin' ?

If you are a student of Halinda School you would already have tasted the produce of the 'Green. But now you will smell more good cooking out on the green itself. Stay tuned as cooking on HalindaGreen ramps up !

SAKG Official Opening Day

We have been planting and eating produce from the green for a few years now, and we have been using the green pavilion shed on the green since we worked it to lock-up stage but now the best BBQ outdoor classroom in Western Sydney is all decked out and dolled up for the big event ! Today is official opening of the kitchen day.

Thankyou to all our helpers, volunteers, donors, well-wishers and busy bees. Thankyou to our students and staff, our parents and our carers who have contributed to this partnership. It is such proof of the spirit of community giving and sharing. Thankyou.

HalindaGreen 3rd Year !!!

What a birthday cake !

Thanks to Tracy and Kylie.

Seasonal Tastes

Ready to 'plate-up' in a Mount Druitt district school near you this autumn ! We are harvesting the rewards of tending to our garden project. 'Tend to your own patch well' as they used to say, and you will reap well. We are geared up and ready to let the recipes roll even more !

Busy Bees

Staff got together on Friday afternoon and put in an extra 110% (as our staff often do) to make the 'Green look spruce for the Official opening of the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen in our green pavilion.

Sunday Dawn on the Green

What a lovely little part of the world it is here. We are within 50 minutes of the centre of the biggest city on the continent of Australia and the birds are singing and chirping on HalindaGreen. The air is so fresh and dewy in Autumn you might mistake it for the country, but as the suburb wakes around you, you know it is a special part of western Sydney.
